There are numerous different ways to bind documents, some are more commonly used than others. We offer:
• Wire binding - We use stainless steel, double looped wires that eliminate twisting. Commonly used on annual reports, manuals,
calendars and notepads with card backing and acetate cover if required. Up to 16mm thick.
• Perfect binding - Printed sheets held together with hot melt adhesive, with cover attached to spine. Commonly used on magazines,
brochures, prospectus and paperback books. Max thickness approx 50mm.
• Saddle stitching - Printed sections are held together by means of wire staples (stitches) through the spine and centrefold.
Commonly used on brochures, catalogues, annual reports, newsletters, price lists, menus and orders of service.
• Stab stitching - Two or more long, strong staples bind loose sheets with backing board and calico tape covering the spine, up to 25mm thick.
Commonly used on NCR sets, purchase order pads, invoice pads and sales order forms.
• Binding screws - Loose sheets are drilled and pillar & post screws inserted through, then screwed together. Commonly used on swatch
books, photo albums and bespoke brochures.

We offer high quality laminating and encapsulating in-house. Both process not only extend the life of your document but enhance the appearance.
Laminating applies a thin film of plastic either side of the printed sheet, in either a gloss or matt finish which is trimmed flush and often
used on postcards, business card, leaflets, brochures and folders.
Encapsulating entirely seals the printed sheet between two layers of thicker plastic film, in either gloss or matt finish. Encapsulation is
distinguished by the 2-5mm clear plastic egde left around the printed product, ‘sealing’ or encapsulating the document permanently.
Commonly used on posters, leaflets, menus & internal signage to protect from scratches, moisture and general wear and tear.

In-house we have a Duplo DC-445 DuCreaser and a Eurofold 235-121 folding unit, which offer maximum folding, creasing, scoring and
perforating output and accuracy. Our creaser is specifically designed for use with digital print, to ensure the highest quality
finish every time with no cracking of toner/inks. We undertake short or long runs with quick turnaround of up to 30,000 sheets per hour.
Ideal for the production of brochures, newsletters, leaflets, business cards and greetings cards.

We have an SPC Filepecker III - 100 paper drill in-house, which offers an alternative way of binding a document. For example, a swatch book combines loose drilled sheets with binding screws, allowing it to pivet open and closed. We have a standard 5mm diameter paper drill but sizes vary from 3mm up to 14mm. Maximum punching capacity is 1000 sheets of 80gsm paper. Ideal for producing swatches, photo albums and bespoke brochures.

Available in-house, stitching is another form of binding, commonly used on brochures, order of service, booklets, magazines,
newsletters, annual reports and price lists. Printed sections are held together by means of ‘wire staples’ (stitches) through the spine and centrefold.

A stylish and contemporary alternative to the canvas print is a mounted print, which we can either gloss or matt laminate, wrap around or
flush mount on a slimline 3, 5 or 10mm foamex board, giving a more discreet finish. We can also mount straight onto self adhesive mount board and trim.

This is a die stamping process which removes the corner of the printed sheet, leaving it with a curved edge. We can achieve a radius
of up to 5mm in-house but for larger radius would recommend a bespoke die cut. This process is ideal for use on business cards, letterheads,
with compliment slips, leaflets etc.

This technique creates a series of holes allowing enabling ‘tear off’ sections on the printed sheet. Ideal for mailers with return slips,
tear off vouchers and ticket stubs.

Is the process of creating a pad or tablet by gluing loose sheets of paper together along an edge, ideal for NCR sets,
order books and note pads.

In-house bespoke cutting service carried out on our Ideal 4810-95EP guillotine. Maximum cutting length 475mm. We can cut paper to
standard and non standard sizes. Consistently accurate, fast cutting with no fraying of paper edges.
